Zarah "Janie" Hopper, 78. Memphis, Tennessee, Born March 29, 1943, and on August 10, 2021, received her crown of life. James 1:12 tells us, "Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him."  Those who knew Janie know that she loved the Lord with all her heart and no matter the tests and trials that came her way, she rejoiced in Him. She loved Jesus most of all. A close second to Him was her family and many friends. She loved big, laughed often, and often shared sagely advice to those who wanted to learn. She leaves a void for all those who knew her and loved her. She is survived by her heart, her beloved son, Chett Wayne Hopper (Sherrie), her grandchildren, who she loved with everything she had; Thomas Hopper (Madison), Joshua "Beeker" Hopper (Elizabeth "V"), Emmalyn Hopper all of Cordova, TN, her nephew who she loved as her own, Edwin Pannell of Millington, her brother Jerry Hatcher Sr. (Pat) of Millington, several nieces and nephews, and a host of friends that she loved as family. She was preceded in death by her parents James Vardaman and Annie Ara Hatcher and her sisters Peggy Adams and Becky Hatcher. The family will receive visitors on Monday, August 16 ^th from 5-7 pm  and she will be laid to rest Tuesday, August 17 ^th at 10 a.m. at North Ridge Woodhaven Funeral Home, 6755 Hwy 51 N, Millington, TN 38053. Janie, we will forever be grateful for your love and guidance and though we will miss you forever, we are comforted to know that you were greeted by Jesus with, "Well done my good and faithful servant."
