William A. Nehls, 78, died Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Methodist University Hospital. He was a retired Petty Officer First Class with the United States Navy; after his retirement he served St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital as their HVAC mechanic for over 26 years. His greatest love, however, was his family, especially his grandchildren. Mr. Nehls'' survivors include his daughter, Teresa Sherrill (Michael) of Millington; grandchildren, Hannah Sherrill and Taylor Sherrill both of Millington; his sisters, Ruth Durigon of Pittsburgh, PA; and Linda Jones (Robert) of Winter Haven, FL. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joleen Nehls; his parents, Arthur and Margaret Glass Nehls; and a sister, Eleanor Cantalamessa. The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 24, 2014, from 5 -8. Funeral Services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 25, 2014 at 10:00. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
