William Robert Dunham, of Belton Texas, passed away on June 27, 2018.

There will be a visitation on July 2, 2018 at 12:00 pm, followed by a funeral and burial service at 2:00 pm at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home located at 6755 HWY 51 North Millington, TN. 38053. A memorial service will be held later in Troy, Texas.

William was born in Norfolk, Virginia on March 29, 1948 to William and Lillian Russell.

He was preceded in death by Mary Flack, his wife of 37 years. They married on July 28,1979.

William was a proud veteran of the US Marine Corps. He joined the service in 1965 and remained in uniform for 22 years. He was Vietnam War Veteran. After retiring from the Marine Corps, William worked for the Federal Aviation Administration for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, and volunteering. He was actively involved in at the Love of Christ Food Pantry and the VA Hospital. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family.

William is survived by his sisters, Cindy Schander and Kim Granger, also his brother, William Russell, his four daughters, Terri Strauser, Beth Surgerner, Frankie Robinson, and Johnnie Bennett, and his grandchildren Wade and Burt Bass, Brandon Tapley, Brandi McClerkin, Britni Helton, Kalie and Madison Bennett.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given to The Church of Christ in Millington, Tennessee, the Church of Christ in Troy, Texas, and the Love of Christ Food Pantry in Temple, Texas.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Baylor Scott & White critical care unit and the Vasicek Cancer Center. They would also like to thank the Marine Corps League, the Troy Church of Christ, and the Millington Church of Christ for all the support and prayers.
