Williams Thomas James (Bill) went home to be with Lord October 3, 2009. He is survived by his loving wife Betty Threntham James, two daughters, Marilyn and Fred Wafler of Arab, AL., and Sandra and Virgil Stanley of Millington, TN. Four grandchildren, Mickie and Alan Gibbs, Matthew and Amy Wafler, Ross and Sidney Wafler and Rebecca Stanley. Four great grandchildren, Wesley Gibbs, Ashley Gibbs, Aaron Wafler and Myles Wafler. One sister, Lona James Parker of New Jersey and several sister-in-laws, nieces and nephews. Bill was born in Newport, TN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Oma Shropshire James of Newport, TN., five sisters and four brothers.
Visitations will be held on October 5, 2009 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and the Funeral Service and Burial will be held on October 6, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. Both services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery in Millington, TN. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Methodist Hospice of Memphis or St. Jude Children Research Hospital.
