Walter Freeman Roberts, age 76 , passed away Saturday, April 16, 2011 at his home in Memphis, TN. Mr. Roberts worked as an electronics technician with the US Navy, retiring at the rank of Chief Petty Officer. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, and services will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, April 21, both at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home. Interment with military honors to follow at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. Mr. Roberts leaves his wife of 56 years, Imogene Roberts; one son, Michael Roberts of Henderson, TN; one daughter, Melinda (Hal) Quick of Memphis; two brothers, Bill Roberts of Troy, MO and Jim Roberts of Plainview, TX; three sisters, Mary Wedell of Cottonwood, AZ and Norma Chapman and Linda Black, also of Arizona.; three grandchildren, Lisa (Paul) Miller and James Quick of Memphis, and Justin Roberts of Henderson; and two great-grandchildren, Quintin and Emmitt Miller of Memphis.
