Obituary

Walter L. Fryer of Memphis, TN. , World War II Veteran, Walter went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, April 18, 2021.
He entered the Army on December 29, 1944 and served in the southern Philippines on Mindanao.  After the war was over he was sent to Luzon and returned to the USA September 30, 1946.  After being discharged from the Army in November 1946, he joined the National Guard and served for 6 years.
He retired from International Harvester after 35 plus years.  He then went on to work at Sears and Walmart until fully retiring to care for his wife, Annie Mae Fryer. He was a member, Deacon and sang in the choir at Georgian Hills Baptist Church for many years.
He was preceded in death by his wife Annie Mae Fryer, parents Roy T. and Irene Fryer, infant brother Otis Fryer, brothers Talmadge Fryer, Harold Fryer, Charles Fryer and sister Ruth Fryer Lopez.
He leaves behind two brothers, two sisters, daughters, stepchildren, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
