Thomas Ritchey Talley, 79, of Quito, TN passed away on August 31, 2024.  He was born September 20,1944, at his grandparent's home at the top of Sand Mountain in Henagar, AL to Thomas and Ruby Talley.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years Sybil Talley, his daughter Natalie Wiley (Rip), his sisters Ramonia Bushart and Sandra Talley, his niece Angela Kienle (Ray), his great-niece Nicole Brignole and his great-nephew Paul Brignole. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother-in-law Billy Hettel.

Known to friends and family by Tom, Tommy and Mr. Tom.  He was a generous person who would gladly help friends in need.  He graduated from Frayser High School in 1963.  He was a Ford mechanic for many years and built high performance race engines for several local racers.  He loved drag racing and raced at Lakeland Dragstrip in his younger years and at Byhalia Raceway and Memphis Motorsport Park later in life.
Tom also loved motorcycles - especially Harleys.  Everyone could pick him out of the crowd by the Harley cap he always wore.  He enjoyed wearing Harley t-shirts that friends and family had brought him from all over the world.

He will truly be missed by his family and friends.

Family and friends will gather from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM Friday September 06, 2024, at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home, 6755 HWY 51 N. Millington, TN 38053. A Celebration of Life service will follow at 2:00 PM at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home.
