Telesfora Dalao, known as Puring to close friends and family, died at the age of 86 on Monday, April 13, 2015. She was born in Niguilan, Phillipines to Santiago and Maria Abenes. Prior to marrying her husband of 57 years, Alfredo Dalao, she worked as an elementary school teacher. Thereafter, she devoted herself to raising her three children and four cherished grandchildren. Puring was an active member of St. Williams Church and Millington Filipino-American Association. Her survivors include her husband, Alfredo; daughters, Lucrecia (Wallace); Cynthia (Todd) and son, Michael. Her beautiful grandchildren are Alexandra, Brandon, Olivia, and Elena. The family sends a wonderful thank you to all who cared for Puring at Methodist Hospice. The family will receive friends at St. Williams Church Saturday, April 18, 2015 from 9:30-11:30. The Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Grashot Alzheimer''s Day Care Center or St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital.
