Denise Tapp, 62, of Memphis, TN passed away Saturday, August 10, 2019. Denise was preceded in death by her parents, Kyle Tapp and Sylvia Tapp Caudle; step-father, Stan Caudle; and brother, Stephen Kyle Tapp. She is survived by many extended family members and relatives. Denise was born April 28, 1957, in Memphis, TN. She is a graduate of Central High School. She went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in Russian Studies from the University of Virginia. She always had an entrepreneurial spirit and worked in many different fields. She managed properties in St. John American Virgin Islands for a few years. She also worked in the local Memphis Blues music industry as a manger, producer, and graphic designer. She also had several hobbies and interests. She had a beautiful speaking voice and had a way with words. She loved animals and was a great cook. History was also an interest of hers, especially in the areas of: WWII, Pearl Harbor, Native Americans, and Japanese history and culture. Denise was loving, talented, smart, generous, and adventurous. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. The family will receive friends for a period of visitation Thursday, August 15, 2019, from 12:30-2:00 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. All services and interment will be held at Forest Hill Funeral Home and Memorial Park, East.
