Sybil Estelle Bruce Crook, age 87, formerly of Millington, TN,  died peacefully after a long illness on September 24, 2021 in Lewisburg, TN.  She was preceded in death by her loving husband, James Ellis Crook of Millington TN; her parents, Everett and Carrie Ida Bruce of Vaiden, Mississippi; a sister, Louise Mann of MS; and a brother, Jasper Bruce of Brandon, MS.  Sybil was retired after serving  in a career as Personnel Secretary at Sears, Crosstown.  She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking, and being with her family.  Sybil was an active member of First Baptist Church, Millington.  She is survived by two children, Mike Crook (Suzy) of Murray, Kentucky, and Elise Crook Dumser (Tom) of Lewisburg, TN; four grandchildren, Lauren Whittle (Jake) of Lewisburg, TN, Chelsea Dunn (Philip) of Jackson, TN, Evan Dumser (Hilliary) of Lewisburg, TN, and Nathan Dumser (Laura) of Oakland, TN; four great-grandchildren, Tristan and Colin Whittle, Nora Dumser and  Skylar Dunn; a brother, Donald Bruce (Carolyn) of Jackson, MS, and Fay Black of Jackson, MS; as well as several nieces and nephews.  Services will be held on Friday, October 1 with visitation beginning at 9:00 a.m. followed by the funeral at 10:00 a.m. at  Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home, 6755 Hwy 51N in Millington, TN.
