SANDRA STEPHENS, 68, of Memphis, passed away February 23, 2013 after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was born July 18, 1944 in Rolla, ND to Arnold and Clarice Lien. She is survived by two sons, Phillip (Debbie) Thornton of Albertville, AL and Gregory Thornton of Alabama; three sisters, Kathryn (Roger) Cartwright of Cando, ND, Audrey (Larry) Hoff of Vancouver, WA, and Bev of Middleton, WI; three grandchildren, Jennifer, Zachary, and Kristen; two great-grandchildren, Carly and Troy; several nieces, nephews and cousins as well as numerous close friends. She was an active member of Womens Group, Bible study group and choir as well as the Frayser-Raleigh Senior Center. She also was a member of the Frayser-Raleigh Community Theatre Group with her highlight role as Dolly in Hello Dolly in 1984. Sandy was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt and friend. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Jerry, her parents, and an infant brother. Funeral services will be Friday, March 1, 2013 at 11 a.m. at the Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home.Memorialsmaybe made to Livingword Lutheran Church or Ovarian Cancer Society.
