Sandra Alford Downs, 78, passed on July 04, 2026, in Southaven, Ms. She was born in Batesville, Ms., to parents Jessie Donald and Ida Mae Alford on April 14, 1948. After graduating high school she gained her associates degree and began her working career as a Administrative assistant. She married the love of her life, Robert Ray Downs on December 16, 1995, in Memphis, TN. Sandra was loved by all that knew her, she was a devoted member of Longview Point Baptist Church in Hernando, Ms. She also served as a ministry assistant at both Broadway Baptist Church in Southaven, Ms. and Parkway Baptist in Hernando, Ms. With that role, she served as the pastor's right hand and dedicated her time to providing religious consult to all who sought out her guidance. Sandra loved music, in fact it was one of her most favorite past times. She also enjoyed going to the beach as well as spending time in the mountains. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband Ray Downs, her two brothers: James Alford (Nancy) and Johnny Alford (Phyllis), as well as many friends and loved ones. Sandra will forever be in our hearts, and we will miss her more than words can express.
