Sadie Mae Bowman Tucker, 89, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2019, at Millington Health Care. Ms. Tucker was a member of First Baptist Church in Millington. Before retiring, she worked as an accountant at the Naval Base in Millington. Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, James C. and Nina Bowman; her sister, Eva Prewitt; and three brothers: Marvin, Bill, and Dickie Bowman. She loved her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Vickye Lynn Ward (Milton) of Alamo, TN and Barbara S. Burks (Richard) of Arlington, TN; three grand-daughters: Laurie Cates (Kent) of Drummonds, TN, Tina Pitman (Keith) of Millington, TN and Jamie Warren also of Millington; three great-grandsons, Tyler and Larson Cates and Tucker Pitman; two nephews, Bobby Stifolter and Mike Bowman; also two nieces Cathy Bowman Wells and Becky Bowman. The family requests in lieu of flowers memorial donations are made to the Memphis Union Mission 170 Tillman St., Memphis, TN 38111. Visitation will be from 1 to 2 pm Tuesday, October 15 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home with service immediately following. Burial will be in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
