Roy B. Cantrell, 89, was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 12, 2022 surrounded by his family.
He was born and raised in Ridgley, Tn, where he graduated from Ridgley High School. He proudly serve d in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed in Alaska. He had a successful career at Siemens Medical Systems and retired in 1992 after 32 years.
He was an active member of Lucy Baptist Church . He enjoyed volunteering for various organizations. He went to New Orleans with his church to help after Hurricane Katrina. He was a member of the Masons for several years. He served as the C ommander in the Legion of Honor in the Shriners .
Roy and Betty travell ed throughout the United States and visited over 55 countries and cruise d 4 oceans.
Roy is survived by his wife of 68 years, Betty Reynolds Cantrell, h is children Cindy (Chester) Bowers, their children, Mark (Tab a tha) Garrett, John (Ainsl i e) Garrett, Blair (Brent) Chunn, and Micah (Cristian) Bowers along with 9 great grandchildren ; his son Steve (Lisa) Cantrell, their 3 children and 2 great grandchildren, and his daughter Kathy (Lesley) Mason.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 17 th from 1:00 until the service at 2:00 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington.
