Ronald Eugene Merritt, 80 years old died January 10, 2018. Ronald was born in Houlton Maine on February 11, 1937 to Ralph and Iona Merritt. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Donald Merritt, of Holgon Maine and one sister Phyliss Tidd of Linneus Maine. Ronald graduated from Hogdon High School in Hogdon Maine. He was a Vietnam war veteran and retired from the U S Navy after honorably serving twenty years. He then embarked on another twenty year career with the United States Postal Service. Ronald was a member of First Baptist Church of Millington Tennessee. Ronald leaves his wife Arelia of Sixty One years, two sons, Alton (Ginny) and Aaron (Christy) Merritt, five Grandchildren, four Great Grandchildren and many close friends. Visitation 5-7 Sunday, January 14, 2018 at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and services are Monday, January 15,2018.
