(Roland) Ronnie Brigman grew up in a family of four in the Ensley and Fairfield Highlands neighborhoods around Birmingham, Alabama. He enjoyed many youth sports and other activities, like fishing and hunting, where he excelled and used those moments as opportunities to make many lifelong friends. Ronnie attended the Hueytown Highschool where, while driving a school bus, he met the love of his life. Ronnie loved Judy so, and he said, “Anyone who cares enough for a man to lead him to Christ is a woman I wanted to marry!” They did marry and stayed married for 63 years. Ronnie enlisted in the Navy reserves while in school and would continue service to our nation from 1962-1966. His tours included “The Cuban Missile Crisis” and Vietnam. He served on the “USS Forrest Royal (DD-872) Navy Destroyer” as a part of the 6th naval fleet in the Mediterranean and the Atlantic. He was of course very proud of his service to America and was received home by his family with honors. “Brother Ronnie” as he was affectionately known began his work in the Gospel ministry some 56 years ago by becoming the pastor of the Kenefick Baptist Church in southeast Texas. Once, while in this first pastorate, the local Sheriff said, “Preacher, the way you visit my jail, I’m beginning to think you have more members in here than you do at the church house!” That sheriff would later be led to the Lord and water baptized into Brother Ronnie's church. And who could forget his voice as it went out over the airwaves each Sunday morning on the great KPXE radio for the “Family Bible Hour Broadcast.” He pastored in a total of four churches and two of those he started as church plants. Ronnie attended 5 years of theological seminary training and took college courses of study at Lee College in Baytown Texas. Ronnie is a graduate of Rhema Bible Training Center 1981. This gifted man of God pastored a bi-lingual church for 3 years and traveled to the bush country of Mexico with a missionary to preach and teach the word of faith message to people who had never heard the gospel. [One man in the village rejoicing said, "I believed the words of this preacher and God has truly prospered me since I received the truth—My goat gave birth to twins!”] Ronnie traveled the country, with his wife, in evangelistic campaigns for 13 years. We cannot here dedicate all of the thousands of lives impacted during those years but it can be accurately reported that more than 800 churches were served through his obedience to go. People have testified of many verified miracles that took place in the revivals held by Brother Ronnie. He had a healing anointing in his hands. Examples of this came in one meeting in Wetumka, Oklahoma, where a woman who had a cancerous tumor on her breast was prayed for, she went to the restroom with another woman and upon examination, the whole church heard her screaming, “IT'S GONE!!” A sweet elderly man in Florida reported that he was deaf and could not hear until Ronnie laid his hands on the man. The next evening that man talked about how he was sitting on his porch to have morning coffee when he heard a buzzing sound. Before he could consider it strange, he saw a bumblebee on a nearby flower in his garden and began to weep. Countless other testimonies can be shared by those who served alongside Brother Brigman. The two churches he planted continue their ministries today in Gulf Breeze, Florida (Christian Life Faith Center) and in Kerrville, Texas (The Riverfront Park Ministry). Bro Brigman started two Christian School ministries while serving at the Agape Ranch Ministries in Uvalde, Texas for 5 years. He assisted the Wycliffe Bible Training Center to prepare missionaries for their field work and taught in the Healing School Ministry, praying for many in the area who would attend his meetings. The thing that brought him great joy was watching God call two sons and four grandchildren into the gospel ministry. This ensures that the work will go on for generations to come. Ronnie Brigman is preceded in death by his parents: Roland Edward Brigman Sr. and Helen Marie (Leach) Brigman; also, by his brother Paul Alan Brigman. He is survived by: His wife, Judy K. Drake Brigman of Millington, Tennessee, two sons, Kenneth Thomas Brigman (Antonia) of Spring, Texas, also Raymond Edward Brigman (Melanie) of Memphis, Tennessee and a daughter Dawn Michelle Brigman of Hoover, Alabama. Ronnie and Judy have enjoyed sharing together, the births of their 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Ronnie is blessed to have one Aunt: Mrs. Ruth Williams (Uncle Jim) and her beautiful family who reside in Wakonda, South Dakota. Services for Mr. Brigman are provided by the dedicated staff of the Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home of Millington, TN. with much appreciation. Interment will be in a private gathering at West TN. State Veterans Cemetery on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, followed by a Celebration of Life Service on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at 10 AM in the sanctuary of the Faith Fellowship Church (Synthesis Church) in Memphis TN.
