Robert Troy Montgomery, Sr.,84, passed away on Sunday, March 28th, 2021

Troy was born on August 17th, 1936, in Covington, TN, the son of Ernest Montgomery and Stella Fleming Montgomery.

Troy was a devoted husband and loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Troy was survived by his wife of 58 years, Clemmie Nell DyeR Montgomery; daughter, Paula Dawn Merriott of Millington and son, Robert Troy Montgomery, Jr. (Missy) of Hot Springs, AR; two grandsons, Chase Merritt (Sarah) and Dalton Merritt; two great-grandchildren and many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Troy served honorably in the US Army, he then joined the Memphis Police Department, where her retired as a captain after 31 years. Troy then worked as a court security officer for the US Marshalls office in the Federal Building in Memphis until his retirement in 2017.
