died Dec 23, 2008 at Baptist Desoto Hospital. He was a Port Engineer for Southern Towing and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #118 in addition to the Al Chymia Shriners. He served a SGT in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War and was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Wanda Maness; daughter, Marla Romaine; and son Robert Maness; five grandchildren, Stephanie and Jason Romaine; Kaley Browning, RObert D. Maness and Robert A. MAness; two sisters, Barbara (Leroy) Counts and Peggy (Gary) Theis; and two brothers, David and Raymond (Lila). Visitation will be held Sunday, December 28 from 4-7 p.m. Funeral Services will take place Monday, December 29 at 11:00 a.m. at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home with interment to follow in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery. 901-872-3375
