Richard Parker Newbill Jr., 85, of Atoka, Tennessee, passed away on October 9, 2024. Born on April 21, 1939, to Richard Parker Newbill Sr. and Rebecca Arnett, Richard lived a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work.

A lifelong member of the Church, Richard's faith was a guiding force in his life and a role model to all who knew him. He worked as a switchman for CSX, where he was known for his dedication and strong work ethic. In his free time, he enjoyed showing dogs and found great joy in gardening, tending to his plants with care and pride. Richard was always happy, bringing warmth and positivity to those around him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Gail Newbill, his son, Mark Newbill, and his brother, Dan Newbill. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Jane Newbill. He was a proud grandfather to Richard Parker Newbill III and Marissa Summers, along with her husband, Hunter Summers. Richard also leaves behind three cherished great-grandchildren: Rylee, Hudson, and Rhett.

He will be remembered for his kindness, his unwavering happiness, and his devotion to family. Richard's joy, faith, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.
