Reta Ann Heathcott Thompson, 82, went to be with the Lord, July 1, 2018 surrounded by her family and friends. She was an active member of Oaklawn Baptist Church, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, also known by her great-grandsons as "Gramma-mommy".
Surviving are her devoted husband of 61 years, Bobby Thompson; loving daughters, Susan Goodwin of Memphis and Sandra Williams of Millington; brother, Eddie Heathcott of Heber Springs, AR; grandson, Patrick Williams of Millington; granddaughter, Christina McGee (Ryan) of Clinton, TN; and two great grandsons, Owen Ryan and Levi Thompson McGee. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Lon and Ruby Lynn Heathcott and sister, Barbara Sue Osteen. Visitation will be Thursday, July 5th from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Oaklawn Baptist Church, 5714 Benjestown Rd., Memphis , with funeral service to follow at 12:30 p.m. and burial in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in loving memory of Reta Ann may be made to Oaklawn Baptist Church.
