Rebecca Ann Massey was born on August 8th,1942 to Ray and Katherine Massey of Jackson, Mississippi. Becky (as she was known to her friends and family) was baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses on May 18th,1957 at the age of 14. On January 28th, 1961, she married David Lowell Preston and shortly thereafter their family began to grow. In 1966, the family moved from Jackson, Mississippi to the Whitehaven area of Memphis, Tennessee and the family continued to grow. In 1980, the family moved one last time, this time to Millington, Tennessee where the family grew one more time for a total of six children. David and Becky clearly loved each other.

Becky was a very simple person; it didn't take much to keep her in her happy place. She loved every sort of flower and a great variety of plants; she had quite a collection of them at her house. Additionally, she collected teapots and dolls. She loved the ministry, telling others about the God she served, Jehovah. She enjoyed being at the house of Jehovah to pray and sing to Jehovah and to be taught by him. Of course, Becky loved her family. Becky was thrilled to have all of her family over to her house, with all her kids and grandkids as everybody ate, laughed, and enjoyed each other's company. Oh, and she enjoyed a good yard sale…

After 83 years of life, on September 9th, 2025, Becky slipped away in death. She was predeceased by David, her husband of 59 years, her brother Bobby, and her mother Katherine. She is survived by her children Cheryl Adkins (Charles - husband), Darren Preston (Pamela – wife), Byron Preston (Stephanie – wife), Susan Assouad (Andre – husband), Lesley Preston (Stephanie - wife), and Grant Preston (Brandy – wife); her grandchildren Allyson Mwezi (Nathan - husband), Elizabeth Costarell, Zechariah Preston (Sarah – wife), Caleb and Kyle Assouad,Nina Preston, Hayley, Asher, Levi, and Zoё Preston, and her great-grandchild Josiah Costarell and; her aunts Annie Andrews and Bonnie Calhoun and many cousins and nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved by the entire Millington Congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses and many, many more.
