Rebecca A Abbott (78) of Cordova, TN went to be with the Lord on August 6, 2025.  She graduated from Westside High in 1964.  She retired from Schering-Plough in 2004.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Wm. P. 'Bill' Vanderburg and Mary Lou Wilkerson, her brothers Wm. P. Vanderburg III, Ted Vanderburg and her sisters, Sarah Escue and Mary E Skinner.

She leaves behind her son David Abbott (Celia), two grandchildren, Brooke and Emily Abbott, and several nieces and nephews.

Rebecca had a special place in her heart for children and took special interest in the lives and well-being of the elderly.  She was passionate about family genealogy.

Memorials may be sent to St.Jude Children's Research Hospital.
