Peggy Jean Sawyer Ellis, 8 4 , passed away on December 19, 2022 at her home in Atoka, TN.

She was born November 22, 1938 to Wilson and Edna Sawyer. She was a member of Shelby Forest Baptist Church and retired from Methodist Hospital.

Sh e was preceded in death by her parent s , her husband of 67 years, Bobby Ellis, h er daughter Edna Sue Pace, grandson Matthew Louis Taylor, and brother Paul Sawyer.

Peggy is survived by three daughters Terry Rodgers (Stan), Barbara Murphy (Randy), and Lesli Goss (Donnie); h er grandchildren Scott Rodgers, Joey Worrell, Brian Worrell, Jamie White, Samantha Dawson, Levi Taylor, and Daniel Pace; 1 3 great grandchildren , t wo sisters Juanita Owen and Gennie Ihrie , and one brother Roy Sawyer.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
