Paul Eugene Smith passed away on August 21, 2016, after a short illness. Paul was the son of the late Naomi Dennis Smith. He was born on November15, 1949, in Waltham, Ma. Paul graduated from Trezevant High School in 1967. He completed his education at the University of Tennessee, Martin, in 1971. He was preceded in death by his son, Shannon, the son of Harriet Smith and himself. His daughter, Erin Smith, who lives in Oakland California, is the daughter of Paul and Harriet Smith. Paul leaves his wife and high school sweetheart, Donna Smith. Paul enjoyed watching race car races, the more wrecks the better. Paul enjoyed watching golf as well as playing golf when he was younger. Paul enjoyed keeping a beautiful yard and garden. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday September 3, 2016 at 2pm with visitation from 1pm-2pm. Paul''s family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Methodist Hospital University for their care to Donna and Paul during this very difficult time.
