Paul E. Pruett, Sr., 88, originally of Memphis, TN but currently residing in Florida, passed away December 14, 2018. Mr. Pruett was born August 14, 1930 to Wiley Phillmore Pruett and Mary Melvina Mincey. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lila Ruth Pruett; parents, Wiley and Mary Pruett; and his six sisters, Margaret Furst, Onna Mae Stewart, Vivian Pruett Lindsay, Mary Jane Pruett Baker, Joyce Marie Boling, and Dorothy L. Pruett Gatewood. He is survived by his daughter, Paula Ruth Large of Orlando, FL; son, Paul E. Pruett, Jr., of Rockledge, FL; his daughter-in-law, Debra Constance Pruett, who was also a caregiver for "Pops"; and his great-grandchild, Charlie Lawrence. Mr. Pruett was a graduate of Whitehaven High School in Memphis, TN. He went on to serve our country in the United States Air Force, from which he retired as an E7 Master Sergeant after more than 20 years of service. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation Friday, December 28, 2018 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm. All services and interment will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery.
