Paul H. Asbridge Sr., 97, of Millington TN, passed on to his heavenly home on Tuesday, January 28 ^th , 2020. Paul was born in Dyersburg, TN on January 13 ^th , 1923. He was affectionally called Pop by his family. He served his country in the 95th Infantry during World War II. After the war, Paul worked at Firestone Tire and Rubber Company for 35 years. In 1951, he married the love of his life Maureen Kolwyck. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Ora Asbridge, his beloved wife of 42 years Maureen Kolwyck, his sisters Alaverne McClanahan and Genelle Kolwyck, and precious grandson Christopher Martin Asbridge. He is survived by his wife of 21 years, Alma Sue Asbridge, his daughter Cathay (Charles) Sexton, his sons, Mike (Diane) Asbridge, Marty (Janet) Asbridge, and Paul Jr. (Nancy) Asbridge, and stepdaughter Michelle (Mike) Barganier. He also leaves his grandchildren Jeff Sexton, Kelli Asbridge, Michelle Davis, Brandy Jackson, Trey Asbridge, Dezerea Whitaker, Josh Asbridge, Alexis and Ginny Barganier. He leaves 12 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He was a longtime member of Lucy Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for many years. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved being outdoors. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Sunday, February 2, 2020, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Funeral Service to follow at 2:00 PM.
