NOLEN EUGENE ERVIN, 51, died November 15, 2009, due to complications with diabetes. Nolen was born March 19, 1958 in Memphis, TN, to Lois and James Ervin. He was the youngest of ten children. Nolen enjoyed spending time with his family as well as his long career on the river, where he trained and became a pilot. Nolen is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Elizabeth Ann Ervin; his two sons, Brian Ervin of Louisvile, KY. and James Ervin of Covington, TN; three sisters, Velma Arnette Allison of Murfreesboro, TN; Charlene Goodrich of Saucier, MS. and Beatrice Royals of Germantown, TN; four brothers Lloyd Ervin of Savannah, TN; Milton and Larry Wayne Ervin both of Bartlett, TN; and Rodger Ervin of Constantine, KY; and his mother in law, Mary Wheat of Ripley, TN. He was preceded in death by his son Derek Ervin; his parents Lois and James; his infant brother Wallace Harold Ervin; oldest brother, James (Jimmy) Ervin.
