Nettie Jean Carney, 83, of Memphis, TN passed away Friday, October 6, 2017. Jean is survived by a daughter-in-law, Jackie Stoots Carney; 2 granddaughters, Ashley Carney Whaley (David Whaley) and Laura Kathryn Carney; and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Adisyn Whaley; brother, William (Bubsie) Curtis and wife Jane of Rusk, TX.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, James (Jimmy) Paul Carney; her two sons, James (Jimbo) Paul Carney, Jr. and Steven Curtis Carney; her parents, Dovie N. Curtis and William C. Curtis; brother, Charles E. Curtis of Rusk, TX.
