Milton C. White, 75 of Memphis died Saturday, October 6, 2012 at Methodist North Hospital. Mr. White retired after 22 years as a Petty Officer First Class in the United States Navy. He loved working with aircraft engines and worked for Rohr, San Diego, CA after retirement. Mr. White''s hobbies included fishing, hunting, building model planes, singing and playing guitar. In 1958 he married Deanna Alderman. Milton and Dee enjoyed a favorite song throughout their lives, it was You Are My Sunshine. They had three children, Tim White (Brenda) of Perryville, MD; Tammy (Robin) Phillips of Raleigh, NC; and Jessie (Joe) Rapp of Memphis. Also surviving are his 5 sisters, Lily, Shirley, Laura, Linda, and Janet; and grandchildren, Kellie, Caitlin, Michael, Heather, Nathan and Carrie; and great grandchildren, Liam, Rowan, Cedar, Seamus, Bridget, Grant, and Joshua. Preceding him in are his parents, Clarence and Colora White and brother, Doug White. Family services were private. The family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital 262 Danny Thomas Place Memphis, Tennessee 38103.
