Michael Leland Hood, 75, of Millington, TN, died Thursday, April 13, 2017 at home in Millington, TN. Funeral services for Mr. Hood will be held on Monday, April 17, 2017, at 2:00 PM at Northridge-Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. Burial will follow in the Garden of Honor in Northridge-Woodhaven Memorial Gardens. Minister Kevin Kelly and friend Keith Knight will officiate.

Mr. Hood was a retired TDC Navy Veteran and a retired Electrical Engineer from Sharp Manufacturing. Michael was a member of the Millington Church of Christ. He was born on March 19, 1942 in Kansas City, to the late Orville Raymond Hood and Mary Neva Hood. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, James Malcomb Hood. Mr. Hood is survived by his wife, Brenda Franklin Hood; a son, Michael D. Hood of Millington, TN; two daughters, Tammy Kelly of Brandon, MS and Cynthia Donnelly of Chapel Hill, TN; a sister, Margie Sanders of Wichita, KS; and a brother, Ray Hood of Paola, KS; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a "grandchild by choice"- Haley McCommon of Atoka, TN.
