Mary Lou Stader was born October 13, 1931, in Stantonville, TN.  She was married to Irvin Stader for 62 years and they had two children.  Mary Lou was preceded in death by her son Jeff, in October 2016, and her husband Irvin, in January 2018.  She was also preceded in death by her four siblings.  She is survived by her daughter, Polly Stader, two nephews Steve (Kim) McDaniel and Chuck (Jeanmarie) Mc Daniel, and her great nephew Jeremy McDaniel.

Mary Lou loved her family and friends and was often referred to as a true people person. Her admired career as a teacher allowed her to provide the warmth and welcoming arms to those around her.  She began her teaching career in McNairy County but took a long sabbatical with the arrival of Polly and then Jeff.  They moved to Memphis and she joined Frayser Baptist Schools where her beloved footprint as a teacher ended with retirement. Mary Lou moved into Hearthside Assisted Living three years ago.  Encouraging those who were shy to become involved in the activities at Hearthside quickly became part of bringing joy to daily living.  She was often the first to welcome new residents and knew how to make them feel comfortable in their new setting.

She and her family were active members at Ardmore Baptist Church which later merged into Crossroads Baptist.  She and Irvin were regular members of Thursday Bible Study.   She was very intelligent and everything in God's creation interested her --  from nature to watching the night sky, painting, crocheting, walking, 500+ puzzles, and studying her Bible.  Mary Lou touched so many of our lives, always leaving a happy memory.  She was kind and fun and will be truly missed.
