Mary Earnestine Phelps, 86,  passed away Friday, May 15, 2026. Mary was born February 22, 1940, in Westville, FL. She spent the majority of her life as a military wife, traveling the country with her family and retiring in Memphis, TN.

Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She enjoyed reading recipe books and cooking. She is preceded in death by her husband, Philip Phelps, daughter Nancy Graves, grandsons, Philip and Mitchell Phelps, her parents, Dan and Nancy Eldridge, brothers, Delois, Ebois, and Lloyd Eldridge, and sisters Ethel Peterson and Doris Stripling. She is survived by her son Johnnie Phelps (Kelly), daughters, Vickie Craig (Kelly), Darline Scroggins (Mark), grandsons, Conner Phelps and Dwayne Money, great grandchildren Troy Phelps, Ayden Phelps, and Jeannie Money, sister Bernice Tate (Charlie), and a host of nieces and nephews. Mary will forever be in our hearts, and we will miss her more than words can express.
