Mary Perales "Momma" Harris (Maria Elena Perales) of Munford, TN formerly of Millington, TN left this
earth peacefully and went to be with The Lord on December 19, 2023, age 77, at Baptist Memorial
Hospital – Memphis after a lengthy battle with multiple illnesses. She was surrounded by her family just
as she wanted.

Momma was born on December 17, 1946, in Floresville, TX and preceded in death by her parents
Faustino and Pilar Perales. She joined the United States Marine Corps in September of 1968 and was
honorably discharged as a Corporal. While in the Marines she received the National Defense Service
Medal. She married Dewitt Harris on January 14, 1985, in Oklahoma. They had a very full and happy
marriage of 30 years together until his passing in 2015. Momma was always the happiest when she was
spending quality time surrounded by her family and friends, especially during the holidays. She really
enjoyed being a part of the bowling leagues in Bartlett, TN along with her husband. She was also a
member of the St. William Catholic Church in Millington, TN and genuinely enjoyed going every Sunday
morning followed by fellowship and eating breakfast with close friends that she considered part of her
family.

Mary was an outgoing, selfless, and kind woman that loved people. She never met "a stranger" and
could strike up a conversation with anyone as if she had known them for many years. She had a knack
for making everyone feel welcome and she would brighten up any room into which she would walk.
Momma will be remembered and is survived by her 3 children, Karen (David) Lively of Munford, TN,
Christopher Wood of Munford, TN, Felicia (Nicholas) Francis of Munford, TN, 8 grandchildren, Logan
Francis, Nolan Francis, Brooklynn Francis, Michael Devitt, Kayla Lively (Kris Davis), Destiny (Tyler) Smith,
Jacob Lively, Sydney Lively, 9 great grandchildren, Chloe Devitt, Allie Devitt, Liam Devitt, Porter Holland,
Presley Holland, Kimber Davis, Carson Carter, Everett Carter, and Beau Lively.

She also has 17 brothers and sisters, Anita Stegall of Copperas Cove, TX, Jane Perales of Italy, TX, Lois
Perales of Italy, TX, Caroline Perales of Italy, TX, Pauline Wood of Italy, TX, Beatrice Perales of Onalaska,
TX, David Perales of Huntsville, TX, Jerry Perales of Red Oak, TX, PRECEDED IN DEATH BY: Teresa
Cisneros, Lily Quintanilla, Sally Jones, Minerva Morris, Graviel Perales, Steve Perales, Marcelino Perales,
Faustino Perales Jr., and Nicky Perales.

The family will receive friends to pray the rosary at 10:30AM and then for the visitation at St.
William Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, from 11:00AM – 1:00PM.
Funeral Services will also be at St. William Catholic Church on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at
1:00PM. Graveside Service will be immediately following the Funeral Services with a procession to Northridge
Woodhaven Cemetery on Wednesday, December 27, 2023, at 2:15PM
Repass to follow back at St. William Catholic Church to share a meal while reminiscing the stories of
Momma and celebrating the many wonderful years of beautiful memories that she has shared with each
of us.
