MARION PEARL WILKES BUTLER, 78, died at her daughter''s home on October 12, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Samuel, her parents, Jane and Neal Wilkes, and her brother Donald Wilkes. She was a loving mother of four daughters and a breast cancer survivor. Marion was retired from the IRS. Her passions were sewing, quilting, cooking, flowers, and caring for her pets. Everyone looked forward to her homemade yeast rolls during the holiday. She hand pieced and quilted blankets as gifts for family and friends. She made her daughters'' wedding cakes and even made one daughter''s wedding dress. Marion acquired neighborhood stray animals and provided them a home. Marion is survived by her four daughters, Jane Griffin, Donna Suhs (Norman), Polly Butler, and Jill Menees (Gary) and her seven grandchildren, Melissa, Brian, Rachel Suhs, Michael and John Griffin, and Emily and Sarah Menees. Visitation, Friday, October 15 from 5-7 p.m.. at Northridge-Woodhaven Funeral Home, Hwy 51 N, Millington. Funeral services, Saturday, October 16, at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
