Exceptional work ethics, religious moral example, wonderful, beautiful, happy and loving parents and home life describe Marie''s and Ford''s legacy. Marie and Ford had so much love for each other, it overflowed to everyone they knew. Our world is a better place now as their love lives on. Marie died peacefully after a brief illness on August 3, 2009. Her focus was always her nine children. She wrote her thoughts on her life as "Dear Lord, I did my best." She will be loved, missed, and cherished always. Marie co-founded with Ford, "All American Moving & Storage" on Hwy 51 North. They built their own warehouse and employed many people for 34 years. They were married in Kansas in 1943. Their children are Ford L. III, Teresa Jean, Jeannine Marie, Denise Colleen, David Franklin, Richard Leigh, Michelle Irene, Kent Steven, and Gerald Anthony. Marie graduated from East HS, and also attended Cathedral grade and HS for 10 yrs in Wichita. Thanks to their daughter Jennine''s TWA passes, they traveled to Hawaii, Guam, Okinawa, Italy, Greece, Crete, Cairo, Israel, Thailand, Morocco, The Netherlands, Belgium, Tokyo, Hong Kong, England, France, Spain and Portugal. Marie was born September 20, 1925. Marie and Ford thank everyone who helped them face the challenges in life. They are together again forever. Visitation will be held this Friday, August 7, 2009 from 5-8pm at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home in Millington. Mass will be held at 10:00am on Saturday August 8, 2009 at Church of the Ascension, 3680 Ramill Rd. Memphis.
