Marie Doris Doiron Estes passed away on Sunday, March 1, 2015. She was born to Eugenie Boisenert Doiron and Wilfred Doiron on March 10, 1923. She grew up in a small town, Danielson, Connecticut. She met her husband, Frank Estes, while they were in the Navy. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her son, Thomas James Estes (Judy). She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Adrian Doiron, Annette Doiron, Violet Wippert (Tom), Irene Blanchette (Harvey), Ora King (Joe) and her brother, Andrew Doiron. She is survived by her daughter, Donna Smith (Paul), daughter-in-law, Judy Estes, grandchildren, Tim Estes, Kristi Robison (Mika), Jim Richard (Raquel), Joe Richard and Elizabeth Richard. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Ellie and Jude Robison and Zachary Richard. After her discharge from the Navy, Mrs. Estes was a homemaker and mother. After her husband''s death she worked at St. Jude Children''s Research Hospital where she later volunteered in the gift shop. It was during that time that she became a serious beanie baby collector. The family would like to give special thanks for the wonderful care Mrs. Estes received from Crossroads Hospice and The Kings Daughters and Sons Nursing Home. A Memorial Service is scheduled at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Friday, February, 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. Private interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
