Margaret "Peggy" Gourley Chambers, 55, died Friday, July 25, 2014 at Methodist LeBonheur Germantown Hospital. Mrs. Chambers was an elementary school teacher's aid for over 19 years. She lived for her teaching job. She taught children with special learning needs. She had a passion to help them learn to the best of their ability. Most recently she worked at Atoka and Munford Elementary Schools. She attended New Salem Methodist Church and formerly First Baptist Munford where she enjoyed singing in the choir. Peggy''s survivors include her husband, Johnny Chambers of Munford; son, James William Chambers and Jessica Rose Chambers both of Munford; mother-in-law, Dorothy Lula Chambers of Atoka; brother,
Jimmy (Sandy) Gourley; sisters, Barbara (Billy) McGarrity; Beth Ferguson; and Virginia Novack. She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Helen Gourley. Graveside services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery on Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.
