Mae S. Rodgers, 97, of Sardis, Mississippi, went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 24, 2019.  Mrs. Rodgers was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Rodgers.  She is survived by her children: Jerry Rodgers, Brenda Stafford (Jackie), Tim Rodgers, Steve Rodgers, Stan Rodgers (Terry), Joe Rodgers, and Buddy Maddox (Allison); 15 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.  She was a dedicated mother, who loved and cared for her seven children with all her heart.  Children were one of her life's passions.  She spent many hot days at the ballpark watching her sons play baseball as they grew up.  She was also a big fan of the Atlanta Braves.  Mrs. Rodgers enjoyed fishing and gardening in her free time.  Her favorite way to spend her time was to have the family over for cookouts and other family gatherings.  She was a member of Woodstock Baptist Church in Millington.  The family will receive friends for a time of visitation on Thursday, June 27, 2019, from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m.  All services and interment will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery.
