Lucilla M. Rudine was born on June 5, 1935 in Trieste, Italy to Antonio and Giuseppina Vicich Rudine. She attended nursing school in 1958-1959 in Rome (the same time the Ben- Hur movie was filmed) and worked as a nurse at the "Old Hospital" in Trieste until retirement. She moved to Millington to live with her only sister, Silvana and her family, taking care of her mother, sister and brother-in-law, Bill during their last years. A proud moment in Lucilla''s life was in 1996 when she became a citizen of the United States of America. During her life she also worked at Seessel''s Grocery Store in Raleigh and lived at Wesley Residential Apartments in Milllington, Tennessee. She had many friends there. Fishing, being a member of the Millington Knitting Club and quilting were a few of her hobbies. Ms Rudine was a member of St. Williams Catholic Church.
She leaves two of her most favorite nephews, Glen Shepherd (Sarah) and Kenny Shepherd (Gayle). A graveside service will be held inside Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 3:00 p.m.
