God presented Louise Ward, born on September 7, 1931 to the late Ms. Katie Mae Hardy and the late Mr. Leslie Ward in Kerrville, TN, passed awayApril 21, 2013 in Memphis, TN.
She attended Bethlehem School until the 8th grade when she had to do as most of us during those precious but hard times and help to support the family by way of share cropping and helping to raise her younger brother and sister. She later attended E. A. Harrold night classes and did receive her G.E.D. She was employed for 21 years, retiring in 1993. She was a very strong woman that had her way with people all her life.
She professed a belief in her Lord at a very early age and joined the Bethlehem Church Family, where she joined the choir and was a faithful member and church secretary for 50 plus years, until her health failed her. She loved her church like nothing else in her life, except her family. Her health took a dramatic turn on September 20, 2010 and the prognosis was very grim but "Sug" in her own way said, "its not my time yet". She fought a great fight for 2 years 7 months and 1 day until early Sunday morning her and her God said its time now and she eased out in peace and comfort in the hands of her God. Rest our dear sweet mother.rest that you deserve and earned.
Preceding her in death was Katie Hardy (mother), Leslie Ward (father), David Hardy (brother), Jerry Ward (son), Thomas Hardy (brother), Otis Morris (brother), Rev. Allen Morris, Jr. (brother), Ruby Hardy (sister), Joe Willie Ward (brother), Artensia Jackson (sister), and Reco Ward (grandson)
She leaves to mourn her passing 4 children Irving (Maggie) Ward, Larry Ward, Sandra (Norvell) Curry and Vernon (Debbie) Ward, a very special devoted niece Debra Calhoun, two sisters Rosella Ward and Lue Catherine Sykes of Memphis. She has 9 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and a host of relatives, extended family and friends.
