LILLIAN A. NICHOLS, a resident of Memphis, died Sunday, January 31, 2010 at Methodist North Hospital. Mrs. Nichols was born on January 17, 1935 in (South Bend) Indiana... She married her husband, Robert H. Nichols, Sr. on March 27, 1954. She was a hard worker and an excellent cook. She raised three children and assisted in raising her two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Hazel E. and Floyd A Denman; three brothers, Daniel I. Denman, Arthur A. Denman and Charles E. Denman; and two sisters, Barbara A. Zimpleman and Audrey J. Denman. She is survived by her husband of 55 years; three children, Donna Elaine Edwards, Robert H.Buddy Nichols, Jr. and Clayton Dale Nichols and his wife, Tonya, all of Memphis; grandchildren, R. W. Hall III and Angela S. (Brandon) McCoullough; six great-grandchildren; sisters, Marita A. Steel of Logansport, Indiana and Willa I. Zimpleman of Phoenix, Arizona, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends, who loved her very much. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 3 from 5-8 p.m. at Northridge Wood-haven Funeral Home in Millington, TN. A Celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 2:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will follow in Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
