On December 16, 2022 Leonard W. Smith also known to many as " GangGang" left this earth to be with his Lord. He was 86 years old. He was born on December 13, 1936 in Augusta, Georgia. He is survived by his wife of over 60 years, Sharon; his daughter, Angela (Mike); son, Stephen (Lisa); sisters, Lady and Joann from South Carolina; 6 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren.

He retired from the U.S. Navy as a Master Chief in 1977 with 24 years of service. He also retired from MWR with 20 years of service. He enjoyed science fiction and woodworking.
