Lela Jenkins, 84, of Memphis, TN passed away Sunday, August 5, 2018. Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Don R. Jenkins; parents, Dexter and Udell Matthews; sister, Thelma Williams; and brothers, Joe and Jack Matthews. She is survived by her daughter, Beth Watkins (Butch); son, Don Matthew Jenkins; grandchildren, Heather Miller (Jeremy), Holly Watkins, and Jason Jenkins; great-grandchildren: Elijah Miller, Izzabella Miller, and Jordan Jenkins; brother, W.D. Matthews; and sister, LouNell Rutherford. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 9, 2018 from 1-2 pm with a funeral service to follow at 2:00. Services and interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or United Mitochondrial Disease Foundation.
