Lee Ward Weatherington, 82, died Sunday, February 3, 2013 at his Memphis home. Mr. Weatherington retired from the Army after 22 years. He was the recipient of both the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star. He was a member of the VFW and was a Mason. He loved reading, television, and fishing. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Mary A. Weatherington; his children, Cindy Micheli (Anthony) of Millington, and Randy Weatherington (Sherry) of Brighton; Tim Weatherington (Mona) of Nashville; and daughter-in-law, Deloris Weatherington of Millington; 9 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and his sister, Mary Frances Joyner. Mr. Weatherington was preceded in death by three children, Terry Weatherington, Tammy Pritchett, and Michael Weatherington. The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Tuesday, February 5, 2013 from 5-8. Funeral services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home on Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery.
