Larry James Sawyer was born September 6, 1941 in Memphis, TN. Larry gained his wings on September 3, 2019 at age 77. He is preceded in death by his son, James Allen Sawyer; daughter, Carrie Munns; father, Virgil Lee Sawyer; and mother, Carrie Sawyer. He is survived by his wife, Sherrie Sawyer; daughter, Patricia Skinner (Mark); daughter-in-law, Suzanne Sawyer; son-in-law, Mike Munns; daughter-in-law, Miscella Bowman; 8 grandchildren: Jessica Kidd (Jarrett), Hunter Sawyer (Jacqueline), Shelby Sawyer, "Lil James" Sawyer, Jr., Austin Munns, Cody Munns, David Yarnold, and Dylan Chambers; and 4 great-grandchildren: Seth Daniel, Shea Daniel, Elizabeth Sawyer, and Elaina Sawyer. The family will recieve friends Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 12-2 pm with a graveside service to follow at 2:00 pm. All services and interment will be held at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home and Cemetery.
