Larry Cannon, 83 of Memphis, passed away December 29, 2022.

He was a longtime member of Lucy Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy, U.S Airforce, and retired form the Army National Guard. Following retirement, he worked at Shelby State as a Job Recruiter for students who attended. He was apart of the Library Club located on Poplar Ave.

He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Barbara Tatum Cannon; daughters, Tyra Faircloth (Steven), Chrystal York (Leslie), and DeAndrea Weatherly; son, Darren Cannon (Lynn); one sister, Sally Carl; eight grandchildren, Melissa, Dustin, April, Garrett, Tony, Ethan, Emma, and Tristan; six great grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Audrey Cannon.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold Cannon and Florence Lutz; one sister, Dorla Wright; brother, Gary Cannon; and brother-in-law, Roger Carl.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Heart Association.
