Junior Earlin Grissom passed away at the age of 94 surrounded by his loving family after a long battle with Alzheimers and heart issues. Junior was born to Charlie and Voster Grissom on March 15, 1927 in Corinth, MS and he passed into the presence of the Lord on February 8, 2022. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII and  served  30 years for the Tuscumbia, AL Police Department at the rank of Captain. He retired and relocated to Atoka, TN with his wife, Hazel Grissom of 74 sweet and wonderful years of marriage. Junior married Hazel when she was 13 years of age on July 26, 1947. They had two daughters, Glenda Beavers (Ben) and Janice Ellison (Chris).

Mr. Grissom had four grandchildren, Shane and Brett Beavers, Laurie Stafford (Jeff) and Erica Ellison and loved them all very much. He had eleven great-grandchildren: Blake, Drake, Jordan, Allie and Savana Beavers, Zach Doty, Kimber and Hanna Stafford, Taylor Ellison, also Taylor and Shane Cox, Jr.; six great-great-grandchildren, Finleigh, Kasen and Harper Beavers, Mariah, Kendrea and Bella Crume; also two brothers Stanley (Hatsi) and Herbert Grissom.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie and Voster Grissom; two brothers, Ed and Virgil Grissom; also two sisters, Lois Kiddy and Marie Wall (Jim)

He was known to all as Paw Paw. Junior loved and loved to talk about his family. A visit to Paw Paw's house was very special because you would not be able to leave without Paw Paw telling you he loved you "To the moon and back and from here to there"

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials are sent to: St. Jude Children's Hospital in Mr. Grissom's name.
