Joseph Leroy Tisdale, 99, of Memphis, died December 19, 2015 in Memphis, TN. Mr. Tisdale, retired from Air National Guard, was a member of Bellevue Baptist Church and former member of Frayser Baptist Church. He was married to Eunice Tisdale, his wife of 69 years, who preceded him in death. He served his country in World War II in the Army of the United States. He is survived by his daughter, Becky Rickard and son David Tisdale (Leslie), grandchildren, Michael Berry (Malisa), Stephanie Moore (Eddie), Kristy Garrett (Chad), Michelle Tomlinson (Mike), Kevin Berry, Brian Tisdale (Amy), and Amanda Messerli and 15 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 22 at Forest Hill East Funeral Home on Whitten Rd. and at 1 p.m., Wednesday, December 23, at the Chapel of Bellevue Baptist Church prior to the Celebration of Life service at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Memphis Memory Gardens on Raleigh LaGrange.
