John C. Mills, 91, formerly of Memphis, died March 24, 2014 in Woodbury, Tennessee. He was born March 24, 1923 to John Marlin and Ora Lee Baker Mills in Osceola, Arkansas. He was one of 15 children. Mr. Mills was a World War II Army veteran. He retired from The Southern Company where he was an installation supervisor. He is preceded in death by his wife of 47 years, Evelyn; and his grandson, Chad Ardis. Surviving Mr. Mills is his daughter, Cathy Ardis (Phil) of Auburntown, TN; son, Dale Mills (Karen) of Southaven, MS; grandson, Joshua Mills (Kristina); 3 great grandchildren; and a great-great granddaughter; brother, Hershel Mills of Southaven; and sister, Pearl Hall of California. The family will receive friends at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home Thursday March 27, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Graveside Services will be at Northridge Woodhaven Cemetery at 2:00 p.m. Thursday.
