Mr. John Edward Miener went to be with the Lord at Baptist East Memorial Hospital on 4/19/2016 in Memphis, TN at the age of 73.
John Edward Miener is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Miener of Atoka TN; daughter, Stacey Miener; daughter, Stephanie and husband Ted Martin; son, Lloyd and wife Natalie Hampton; grandson, Mason Hampton and Granddaughter, Olivia Hampton. Preceded in death by his father John Rudolph "Jack" Miener of Pekin, IL and mother Udora L. Holton Miener of Pekin, IL.
John Edward Miener was born on January 11 1943 in Pekin, IL to Jack and Leona Miener. He graduated from Pekin High School and went on to join the United States Air Force. Upon serving his country, he led a fulfilling professional carrier that started with Caterpillar Corporation in Pekin, IL and finished with him owning his own Trucking Company in Munford TN. His retirement was even more rewarding, riding horses when he lived in Oak Grove, LA and playing golf everyday while he lived at his current home in Atoka, TN. Spending time with his family and enjoying his grandchildren gave him great joy and peace until the day he was called home.
Visitation will be at Northridge Woodhaven Funeral Home (6755 Hwy 51 N) Millington, TN on Thursday 4/21/2016 from 5:30 - 8:00pm, the Funeral and gravesite burial will also be at Northridge Woodhaven on Friday 4/22/2016 at 1:00pm. Pastor Mikey Mewborn will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate the homecoming of John Edward Miener''s life. The family would like to thank all the caregivers at Baptist East Memorial and VA Hospital in Memphis, TN.
